Improving Veteran Live Longshot in Gulf’s G3 Hal’s Hope

Two graded features at Gulfstream and we'll look at the G3 Hal's Hope since the grassy G2 Ft. Lauderdale could be the victim of a re-scheduling. Just as well since the Hal's Hope presents an excellent opportunity to be rewarded nicely if we're correct. The talented young Edgard Zayas and Simmstown (10-1) have been a perfect 3-for-3 since the 6YO was switched to the Marty Wolfson shed following a 22-month layoff.

A winner of both his starts going a mile and half of his four starts over the surface, Simmstown exits a rapidly run 6-1/2 furlongs and the hope is a month is sufficient recovery time off such an effort. It will be up to the rider to break cleanly from the pole in the one-turn mile and the rest of the trip just might take care of itself.

Taking Simmstown to win at 6-1 or greater and key-boxing him first and second in multiples with Neck n' Neck (7-2), Goodtimehadbyall (8-1) and Uncaptured (5-1).
