Ceci N Me
Another interesting Gulf, a secondary allowances/optional claiming turf feature for older fillies and mares going 7-1/2 furlongs.
The temptation was to immediately jump on the Navarro bandwagon with his Will to Shine seeking her third straight score for a man batting a profitable 39% in LAY-2 situations and batting 40% at the meet. Bat at 5-2 from post 9 going this trip, we'll use her defensively and will take the price shot Ceci N Red (6-1).
When last seen she was setting a pressured pace and stayed on fairly well despite Joe Rocco losing his stick in the lane going 1-1/16 miles. However, when last seen at this trip, she was winning from off the pace at Parx. We envision similar tactics here and she should benefit from today's speedy race shape. Pat Farro, having a solid meet, is a profitable 18% with her turn-backs.
Taking Ceci N Red to win at 9-2 or greater and key-boxing her in exotic money positions with the favorite, Horse for Course Coarseland (3-1), and the very sharp She's Spooky (5-1)
