The Cornerstone of a Winning Wager
Of the three races for three year old males around the country, the most appealing one IMO is the one that takes place in Northern Florida. The eight-horse G3 Sam F. Davis has the requisite pair from Mr. Pletcher--are there enough tracks around to which he can disperse all those 3YOs up at PMM?
Chad Brown is shipping up with early line favorite Cousin Stephen, exiting a key race, working bullets and picking up Daniel Centeno. He will be a tough out.
However, it's Noble Cornerstone that intrigues most. After a comprehensive maiden score in debut, he shipped out to Remington for a purse-big stakes, adding Lasix for his two turn debut. After racing in mid-pack much of the way in a 12-horse ensemble, he finished with a rush to be second, beaten a neck.
Fastest on performance figures, he's drawn nicely inside, has blinkers removed, and Kent Desormeaux is shipping 3,000 miles to ride him back.
Taking Noble Cornerstone to win, no price restrictions, and boxing him with Cousin Stephen.
