Choosing the Donn Winner an Art, Not a Science
With five feature races to choose from, we'll take a look at the biggest of them, the Grade 1 Donn Handicap at 1-1/8 miles. It's an event that has a lot in common with the state of the 2013 handicap category; a division in search of a leader. This one is as wide open as it gets.
We're taking the streaking local, Csaba (4-1), who's developed rapidly over the winter and is coming off a New Pace Top pattern. He's won half his four starts at today’s added distance and has earned lifetime best figures winning his last two over track.
Flat Out (3-1) is at his best at Belmont Park but owns excellent Energy Figures and is training strongly for Mott, having an outstanding meet, andhis late-run style fits today's speedy race shape
Taking Csaba to win at 4-1 or greater, an exacta box with Flat Out, and adding Pool Play (10-1) and Graydar (5-1) to the exotics mix.
