The Devil Made Me Do It
Today's Gulfstream feature is a good one, the Grade 3 Sabin for fillies and mares going a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.
Since pace, and tactics make most races, we're looking to alter the results of the recent Sunshine Million Distaff in which Sweet N Discreet proved clearly best beating that day's race favorite Devil's Care.
In that event, we though the latter was rated into submission and was not ready to respond when challenged by a filly showing a better turn of foot at that moment, although Devil's Care was coming again late at the finish. With a switch to Castellano and positioned outside her main rival, we believe the SMD result will be reversed.
Taking Devil's Care to win at 2-1 or greater and key-boxing her first and second in multiple with her rival here and Angelica Zapata (6-1), a distance specialist that will enjoy the switch from turf back to the main track.
