Holiday Double in the Heatland

A great double at Oaklawn Park on President's Day, combining two Grade 3s, the Razorback for older and the Southwest for Derby-aged runners.

We're taking the uber sharp Leofric (5-1) to pass his class test. His next defeat in five starts in Hot Springs would be his first, including two at today's trip.

The lightweight assignment of 113 will help handle tougher foes, with Luis Saez, a Dale Romans favorite, abandoning J Boys Echo to jump on the hot Cox trainee. A fair price would be anywhere north of 7-2.

Taking Leofric to win, and exacta box with Untrapped (9-2) and adding J Boys Echo (5-1) and Sonneteer (4-1) to the super-exotics mix.

In the Southwest, Bob Baffert should continue his domination of all things Oaklawn, returning with the very sharp, fast working Mourinho (2-1), authoritative winner of the Smarty Jones. Given his two-sided pedigree, an added sixteenth is not an issue.

Taking Mourinho to win, no price restrictions, an exacta box with Seven Trumpets (10-1), and adding Combatant (6-1) and Retirement Fund (15-1) to the super-exotics mix.
