Frolicking On the Weeds

Tricky and trappy--that's the best way to describe today's Gulfstream feature for turf fillies and mares that have never won a stakes race or optional claiming.

In this short field, horses are shipping in, returning from layups, and the pace scenario is questionable: It looks like Violette's filly will be o the lead comng out of sprints but the classier members of this field are returning at an unsuitable distance. What to do?

Throw deep.

Frolic's Revenge (6-1) may be getting a serious class test but she has recency, good form, picks up Castellano and, as a newly turned 4-year-old, has upside. Of greater significance, the price will be fair.

Taking Frolic's Revenge to win at 4-1 or greater and an exacta box with Adjacent (3-1), returning for white hot McGaughey and fast working Millennia (4-1) for Kelly Breen, a winner of three of his most recent four starters.
