Taking Recency Over Promise
No shortage of speed in today's GP feature for 3YO fillies sprinting 6-1/2 furlongs featuring a couple of potential sprinting stars. We'll stay with the filly with the best recent form, recent graduate Bridled Heiress.
Following a game placing in her quickly run debut at this difficult hybrid distance, she returned to break maiden with style, winning by more than 5 lengths going 6 furlongs in 1:09 3/5, drawing out through a final quarter-mile of 24-flat.
Taking Bridled Heiress to win and boxing her in the exacta with returning Miss Belinda, a stunning maiden winner of her only start last fall at Belmont at today's trip, going first-Lasix and first-Rosario for Bill Mott.
