No Guts…

It takes a lot of courage—some might call it hubris—to pick against a Bill Mott-trained runner doing anything. But in today’s Keeneland featured fourth race for fillies and mares going a mile and a half on turf, we’ll attempt to defeat the classy Twirl (7-5) and Joel Rosario (already a five-time meet winner) with Beijoca (3-1).

Simple choice, really, because it’s difficult to argue with perfection, as in 1-for-1 on Keeneland land and, more significantly, 1-for-1 at the trip.

Add the fact that she was scratched at the end of the recently concluded Gulfstream stand and you have one well meant 4-year-old filly.

Taking Beijoca to win at 5-2 or greater and taking a twirl in the exacta with Mott’s filly.
