Churchill Favorites are Logical, but Why Pretend?
In today's featured 4th race at CHurchill, the first impulse is to reach out for the speed Rothko (7-5) or the evenier speedier Sum Of The Parts (6-5). Instead, we're taking a chance on price shot Why Pretend (10-1).
While not quite as fast on Energy Figures, his figures are competitive enough, his late kick fits the speedy race shape, he likes the surface (7) 2-1-2 and Angel Hyland is profitable with both his repeaters and shippers. Add to the two recent bullets over the deeper Tampa strip and the makings of an upset are there.
Taking Why Pretend to win at 5-1 or greater and keying him first and second in multiples with the two favorites.
