Former Californian Finds Favorable Spot in New York
Today's featured Belmont Park allowances for older horses going 7 furlongs has attracted an eclectic group and the major unknown at this point is whether or not this race will be run on turf as scheduled, given the dicey advance forecast. We can go either way here.
Should the event remain on, we'll take the new Bill Mott trainee, Bio Pro, to win.
Mott does very well with his new acquisitions and this runner appears as if he will enjoy coming East from SoCal and turning back into a sprint distance. His best races have been going a mile on the West Coast and his outside slip, Johnny, and the shorter trip all augur well.
If on dirt, we're taking MTO Don Tito, a winner under these conditions last fall.
