The Fact of the Matter

Today's featured Corma Rae Stakes for older state-breds going 7 furlongs is replete with talented old pros that figure to put on a good show. The Repole-Pletcher team has done very well with high-priced claimers and Johannesburg Smile (8-5) should continue in that tradition. He loves Belmont Park and wet footing, and Pletcher is other worldly 33% effective when removing blinkers. Castellano rides the fast worker.

But we will take any value offered with Mine Over Matter (5-1). He will appreciate any remaining moisture in the surface, is well posted outside with Rosario, owns competitive Equiform figures on his best go and Mike Hushion excels with sprinters in ungraded stakes.

Taking Mine Over Matter to win at 4-1 or greater and an exacta box with the early line favorite.
