Hi Ho Shannon Nicole

For Shannon Nicole (6-1), a funny thing happened on the way to another scheduled turf race on January 10: The race was taken off the turf, run on the main track and responded with a career best performance to win going away by nearly 5.

Gaining confidence, Mike Maker moved her up in class to the G3 Rachel Alexandra, where she finished third behind divisional-leading Untapable. For some reason, Maker moved the filly to the Turfway Poly in G3 Bourbon Oaks and never lifted a hoof.

Subsequently, she's been working bullets at the Churchill training facility, gets back on dirt and Maker's reaching out for Mike Smith. We're there.

Taking Shannon Nicole to win at 4-1 or greater and key-boxing in exactas with the improving Sloane Square (5-1) and rounding-back-in-form Stopshoppingmaria (7-2).
