Receptive to an Upset in Belmont’s Wonder Again

For an ungraded stakes, today's Wonder Again boasts several very talented grass fillies that all have graded stakes credentials somewhere in their promising futures.

Undefeated Daring Dancer (9-5) has already won a Grade 3, Keeneland's Appalachian and was scratched recently when a turf stakes was taken off the grass on a Triple Crown undercard. She will be a very tough out.

But we're taking any value offered on Recepta (7-2). A winner of the Chelsea Flower in her turf debut at 2, winning impressively from post 12 going a mile, she made a bold mid-race move in her season's debut behind the favorite but tired from the trip and perhaps needing a race.

She will benefit from her return, is reuniting with winning partner Junior Alvarado, and is bred for added distance, from a mare whose two foals were both stakes winners. First-time Lasix is another plus.

Taking Recepta to win at 5-2 or greater, an exacta box with the undefeated favorite, and adding recent winner Party Now (4-1), switching to Johnny, and well regarded import Minorette (8-1), the favorite in her U. S. debut, finishing third to Party Now, a fast working Lawn Party (8-1).
