Danny White Roses Loves Mott’s Filly
Today's featured two turner on turf in the day's 8th fron Belmont Park is for non-winners of 2 lifers but it's conceivable some of the entrants will be competing in named races by season's end.
Anyway, one of those is the Christophe Clement favorite, Tabreed (5-2), who made a strong 4YO and U.S. debut when second to Strathnaver, a repeater who is already in stakes company. She likely ill be much shorter than 5-2 ante post.
White Rose (7-2) is meeting her elders, has improved for Bill Mott and really impresed visually earlier this season demonstrating a big turn of foot. Don't know if we'll see it again but may not need to if she can get away with her field instead of encountering trouble at the start. A lack of serious pace, an inside post and Johnny can help on that score. Further, we'll take the six pounds.
Taking White Rose to win at early line odds, an exacta box with the favorite, and adding recent maiden breaker Midnight Watch (4-1) and Waltzing Cat* (15-1) making U.S. debut for Weaver while adding Lasix.
