Tagg, You’re It

Unfortunately, even though there are seemingly a handful of ways to go in today's featured 8th race from Belmont, all paths lead us back to the favorite, Mills (3-1).

After just missing in his career debut, coming from mid-pack in a typically bulky Gulfstream field, a key race that produced two, he returned to break maiden at Keeneland, a race in which three runners came back to score.

Trainer Tagg's horses have been running well at this meet and subsequent to his last, the gelding's come back to train very well, including recent five furlongs that was 8th fastest of 43 in peer group that week at Belmont Park. Joel Rosario, aboard for the maiden win, takes a return call.

Taking Mills to win at 8-5 or greater and key boxing in exactas with the fast, older Arc Above (6-1), the well positioned North Slope (8-1) who's never taken a backward step on the BRIS scale, and Odeon (4-1), on a good line and making Belmont debut for Shirreffs..
