A Stitch in Nine Saves Time and Money
Today's Belmont Park feature for older horses going a mile and a sixteenth on the main track is tricky for both its competitiveness and matchup issues. We settled on the notion that the two most likely to succeed are either old pro Groomedforvictory or developing young gelding Mighty Ian.
We're opting for the former. The Jacobson trainee is better positioned, can handle any surface under foot, the barn is doing better than the Rodriguez shed at the current meet and the likely favorite is also saddled by a rail draw and the fact that Rosario, while the switch is positive, will have a negative effect on value.
Taking Groomedforvictory to win at 4-1 or greater and key-boxing in the multiples with his rival here and the improved Touchofstarquality.
