Livin’ On a Prayer

The feature race of the day is the feature race of the night, the Grade 1 Stephen Foster showcasing some of the best handicap horses in the country. If Will Take Charge rebounds from a terribly dull effort, he should handle this assignment despite top weight of 123 pounds. Absent that, it's a wide open event.

We'll take any value available with Prayer for Relief (8-1), racing in excellent form for Dale Romans. The race shape should suit as Johnny V. works out a stalk and pounce trip from his outside post and the 6YO gets five pounds from the favorite. But as deep as the field is, one cannot accept a short price.

Taking Prayer for Relief to win at 5-1 or greater and key boxing first and second in the exotics with the favorite, the rejuvenated Revolutionary (2-1), win machine Departing (9-2), and adding price shot Long River (15-1) to the super-exotics mix.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1546

Amount Wagered: $3,092 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,186.40

Profit to Date: $94.40
