Malice Aforethought

Three graded stakes, two Grade 1, but the big one is the G2 Jim Dandy, and the big horse is the Belmont winner, Palace Malice (5-2).

Normally, we ignore 12-furlong turn-backs shortening up to a more traditional American distance but you need to be robust to win at 9 furlongs in Saratoga and his conditioning, gained along the Triple Crown trail, will serve him well here. That, and his tactical speed, likely insuring a good setup.

Looks like there will be plenty of pace to set up that trip.

Taking Palace Malice to win at 2-1 or greater, an exacta box with the freshened and beautifully developing Mylute (7-2). Exotics players can add the peaking Looking Cool (12-1) to their money mix.
