That’s Perfect

There are seven horses in today's Birdstone overnight stakes for older horses going nine furlongs but they're only representing four barns as Todd Pletcher entered three uncoupled mates and Rick Dutrow entered two.

While it seems that Pleatcher has this race surrounded, both literally and figuratively, it's one of Dutrow's, Isn't He Perfect (7-2) that inspires the most confidence. Almost any of the seven can win, their performance figures virtually the same on their best game. But Isn't He Perfect appears the most reliable and has enough tactical speed to get early position, allowing Ramon to tuck in, and enough kick to complete the deal.

Taking Isn't He Perfect to win at 5-2 or greater and boxing him in the exacta with recent Bruce Brown claim, Pleasant Prince (15-1).

Running Totals: (1128) 347-219-169 Total Dollar Return: $2,384.40 [win selections only] {Wednesday Results Not Included}
