A Giant Among State-Breds

Not much left to the imagination after checking out the past performances for today's featured New York Stallion Stakes for 3-year-olds going 1 mile on the Inner Turf. I'm not sure how one can beat early line favorite West Hills Giant (7-5).

Returning to grass after a rough trip third in the NY Derby on Finger Lakes dirt last out, his prior was a sharp score on turf winning the 7-furlong state-bred Spectacular Bid. Terranova trainee broke his maiden at 2 on Saratoga turf, making him the most accomplished turf runner in this group. Edgar Prado in the boot can only help.

Taking West Hills Giant to win, no price restrictions, in keying him in exotics with a couple of talented shippers; Old Pal of Mine (7-2) and Captain Gaughen (3-1), and Racing Flow upgrade Belief System (12-1).
