Anticipating an Upset in Spa Grade 2
Today's the juvenile boys go at it in the G2 With Anticipation. I left 6 of the 8 dirt entrants open. We will opt for River Dancer (12-1) and it's not only the line that's attractive.
He broke his maiden in a strongly run turf sprint and now comes back for David Cannizzo that has good stats returning with this type of spacing. Young sire Pioneerof the Nile has been something of a revelation with his turf runners from a limited sample, and the Theatrical mare will get you to run as far as they write races.
Pointed to this, he'll be closer to the pace going farther from an inside slip and Maragh takes the return call. Stywe seems suited to what should be lively fractions.
Taking River Dancer to win at 8-1 or greater and will key box in exactas with General Jack (5-2), who broke maiden in a stakes at Canterbury, and Marvin's Miracle (12-1) who showed marked improvement beating state-bred maiden in course and two-turn debut.
