Don’t Say No to World Peace

Today's Groovy Stakes for 3YO turf sprinters has drawn an interesting field including a very fast and fresh favorite Sum Of The Parts (2-1). His performance figures are superior and while he's never raced on turf, he's 3-for-3 on synthetics and has been carefully placed by ship-in trainer Tom Amoss. Still, it will be an unattractive price to take with a horse that's never been on the surface.

Artest (3-1) has. Not only is he reuniting with winning rider Johnny V. but he's turning back to a favorite scenario, a turf sprint, a dynamic in which he's 2-for-2. Artest held form from a wide post going a mile at Saratoga last out and should have gained additional conditioning.

Taking Artest to win at 5-2 or greater and key boxing him in exactas with the favorite and with fast working Manly (6-1), in with pole position and Rosario.

Running Totals: (1163) 359-225-174 Total Dollar Return: $2,461.30 [win selections only]
