Sylvestris Rates To Get Lucky

That old refrain about if it weren't for bad certainly applicable to Sylvestris (3-1) in today's eighth race feature from Belmont Park. It's been a case either of wrong pace dynamics or an impossible trip, which was the case in her recent Spa finale when she stumbled at the break, was forced to alter course for running room in the lane behind dawdling fractions, and nearly won anyway.

On the turnback, there should be enough pace to help her late kick beneath Ramon.

Taking Sylvestris to win at 5-2 or greater and keying her first and second in multiples with Resonating (5-2), Limonar (5-1) and Button Girl (8-1).

Running Totals: (1168) 363-225-175 Total Dollar Return: $2,481.80 [win selections only]
