Clash of the Titans

Not only is today's featured Serena's Cat a competitive 7-furlong turf sprint for fillies and mares very on paper, but no fewer than five of the ladies are coming off layups of greater than 90 days, some much longer. Two of them are trained by two "Giants of the Turf."

We're kidding, but we're kidding on the square, that is unless you think that as turf trainers, Christophe Clement and Chad Brown are overrated. Clearly, I don't believe that to be the case, so while Clement has an uncoupled pair in here, it's the classy Future Generation, proven when fresh, vs. Brown's Whipsaw City, also successful when returning from a lengthy absence.

Long story short, the former is most likely to get a perfect trip beneath Ramon, breaking from the pole with a good amount of early speed to set the table--yes, even in a turf race.

Taking Future Generation to win, no price restrictions, keying her in exactas with her main rival here and the hard trying turnback, Sylvestris.
