Seeking the Brass Ring

With two features being offered at Belmont Park this afternoon, we'll look at the one with the larger field, the Grace 3 Turnback theAlarm for fillies and mares going a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.

While not very exciting, the filly getting class relief here, Centring (2-1), looks like the most probable winner. There are no Royal Deltas, no Princess Of Sylmar's to contend with here, just G2 and G3 types with which she fits in very nicely.

Today's speedy race shapes suggests strongly that the race will be won by a filly that can punch home late, and who better to coax the late speed than Joel Rosario.

Given the competitiveness anticipated, we need a minimum of 2-1 for the win play to make sense, and we'll key box the Tom Albertrani filly in exactas with Lady Cohiba (6-1) and Street Secret (3-1).
