Where the Concrete Meets the Green at Aqueduct by the Bay

Two races with the identical highest purses gives us a choice of two spots but we'll opt for the shorter one. Besides, I'm curious to handicap and see how 6 furlongs plays at the new-fangled Big A.

When last seen, Sister Sophia (7-2) made a devastating late run to win at today's trip at Belmont and, to her credit, show won another going 3/4 quarters while her her third of four attempts at the trip, she finished third, beaten a neck for the whole thing.

The spacing looks just right, Joel fits just right, and he can just sit back from his outside draw and push the button at a time of his choosing. There's lot a lot of speed signed on but the pace should be contentious enough.

Taking 'Sophia' to win at 3-1 or greater, and key boxing exactas with classy returnee Liberale (2-1) and either half of Cannizzo-trained entry (3-1).
