As We Were Saying…

Today's Big A feature, rescheduled from Sunday's cancelled program, is the Smilin N Dancin overnight stakes for 2YO going one mile on turf. Nothing has changed.

If you saw the winning debut of Innovation Economy (3-1), you had to be impressed.

I certainly was, especially considering the bold finish made by the youngster in his first start and the fact that his trainer, Chad Brown, is a profitable with horses coming off a maiden win and making its second start going long on turf, the latter with 36% efficiency.

We're taking him to win, no price restrictions, and key boxing him first and second in exotics with fast working Mr. Speaker (5-2), Request (2-1), who overcame a slow pace to win his debut with a strong finish, also for Brown, and Mark My Way (10-1), a competitive figure winner on this course after adding blinkers.

Number of Selections since May, 2007: 1429

Number of Win-Place-Show Finishers: 434-270-216

Amount Wagered: $2,858 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $2,965.10
