Good Spot for Ship-In at Tampa

Today’s feature at player friendly Tampa Bay Downs is a preliminary allowances on the turf at a mile and no filly in this limit field is developing as nicely as the 4-year-old Butterdish (7-2), back in the barn of Jorge Navarro, who is a profitable 26 percent efficient with his ship-ins.

She turns back to her best distance, one at which she just missed when second on this course last spring. Her outside slip should suit her late-run style and today’s race shape while getting a switch to turf ace Daniel Coa, a worthy 19% efficient with turf runners most recently.

Taking Butterdish to win at 3-1 or greater and an exacta box with turf and distance meant Soul of the Gem (15-1) with very solid turf connections and a favorable draw, and worthy favorite Reba's Affair (5-2).

Running Totals: (978) 302-195-139 Total Dollar Return: $2,089.40 [win selections only]
