Looking Majestic
Today's Gulfstream Park feature is an optional allowances going a flat mile for 3-year-olds and up, an event that seems to offer very little value because it appears to have Graydar's (6-5) name written all over it.
The Pletcher trainee broke maiden here in April but then disappeared for four months, clearly a concern.
But his return was good. He appeared a tad short of condition, whether it was physical or mental, he met a very talented New York Bred in Saratoga Snacks, the Empire Classic runnerup, and returned with a New Pace Top in that event. Now it's back to SoFla, where his debut figure was monstrous.
It's Majestic Man (10-1), however, that is the most interesting. Ridden by Johnny V. for Mark Casse, who saddled a winner yesterday, he's worked well for his second start after the trainer change--a profitable 19% proposition in that scenario, and he could fall into a good journey should Tiz Yankee (3-1) press the favorite, a very distinct possibility.
Taking Majestic Man to upset at 6-1 or greater and an exacta box with Graydar.
