Riding Tactics Key to Big A Feature

Today's Big A feature is the third race, an allowance sprint for 3YO and up going 6 furlongs.

With the pace in here not clearly defined, riders can prove the difference in this spot. Masasi (2-1) has enough early speed to control things unless some rival decides to quarterhorse it right from the jump. Donk trainee should be sharpened by recent 5-1/2 furlong effort and in Jose Ortiz, a rider with just the right amount of aggressive style.

Taking Masasi to win at 8-5 or greater and key-boxing exactas with the uncoupled Jacobson pair of Candy And Thunder (3-1) and Roman Invader (9-5).

Number of Selections since May, 2007: 1441

Number of Win-Place-Show Finishers: 441-272-220

Amount Wagered: $2,884 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,015.30

Profit to Date: $131.30
