Palace: Rice on a Roll

I can remember a time when the Gravesend was a bigger deal than it is now; at least it was graded. Or, in the hated word of the year: whatever.

Well, the 6 furlong sprint has drawn a field of six, half saddled by Linda Rice, but one, Palace (7-5), has been a revelation, a 4YO that has gotten so good it's scary. He has style, position, fits the race shape and owns dominant figures.

He might not yet be BC Sprint quality, but if he keeps improving...

Taking Palace to win, no price restrictions, and keying him in trifectas with Battier (4-1), Broad Rule (12-1) and Strapping Groom (2-1).
