Chad v Chad in the Autumn

After disappointing in his SoFla finale, Horse to Watch Abbreviate (5-1) returned with a vengeance this fall and has been most impressive in both winning efforts. While he's never run at this shortened trip, Chad is very effective with his turn-backs; 30% effective and profitable.

Taking Abbreviate to win the aptly named Autumn Days at 5-2 or greater, key-boxed exactas with uncoupled mate First of Spring (3-1) and Fire Key (6-1), getting Paco, and adding price shot Rumble Doll (20-1) to the super-exotics mix.

McLaughlin Shipper Very Enticing

The Champagne through the years has always produced quality juveniles. This year, the runner-up went on to win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Well there may be more Good Magic remaining for another win.

Enticed (4-1) ran very well in the Champagne, finishing third while moving up in class and distance and galloped out well after the finish according to HRI's Mark Berner. He owns more than enough pedigree to handle more distance in today's Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill.

Taking Enticed to win at 5-2 or greater and an exacta box with price shot Horse to Watch one Sailor (12-1), absolutely killed by the wide draw but likely to insure a more than adequate price.

A Duty to Stick with CD Surface Lover

The race of the day anywhere is the G1 Clark at Churchill and an interesting renewal it is. New York ship-in early favorite Diversify (5-2) has been a revelation this year and became an elite winner as the lone speed upsetter of the storied Jockey Club Gold Cup.

The connections opted not to challenge Gun Runner in the Classic--good choice--and opted to run here. Unfortunately, the outside draw did him no favors on the cutback to 9 furlongs although he continues training with gusto.

Our interest is in two horses that were most disappointing last out but figure to rebound today, Of those, we're giving an edge to Honorable Duty (5-1). He never lifted a hoof in KEE slop but now is back at his favorite oval, is suited very well by the trip, and is projected to get fast footing today. Versatility should be the difference here.

We're taking Honorable Duty to win at 9-2 or greater and exacta key-boxes with the favorite and Good Samaritan (8-1), returning to his optimal trip after a dynamics-compromised effort in the Travers and a dull try in the JCGC.
