Make the Most of Today’s With Anticipation

Today’s Spa feature is the Grade 2 With Anticipation for juvenile colts going two turns on turf and it features several very promising turf runners.

Favoritism likely will boil down to impressive maiden breaker Captain Webb (3-1) for Team Todd and the experienced Dullahan (7-2), with excellent performance figures and turf style even if he is a maiden after three starts.

But the most interesting is Optimizer (8-1) who is very well turf bred, overcame a wide trip and bulky field to break maiden, worked well subsequently and Albarado, who rode him with a lot of confidence in his only start, takes the return call.

Wayne Lukas is not known for proficiency developing turf horses; this guy could change all that.

Taking Optimizer to win at 9-2 or greater and key boxing him in exactas with his rivals listed here.

Running Totals: (922) 290-185-130 Total Dollar Return: $2,007.40 [win selections only]

Poetry in Motion

Two features of equal value and we’ll opt on the side of potential value and the bigger field; two year old fillies in the P G Johnson going two turns on the turf.

Crazy Party (3-1) looms a logical favorite and a tough out winning her lone start here under similar conditions and once again figures to take advantage of her tactical speed and kick from the pole position.

But somehow, Visionaria is more compelling. She’s had three races worth of experience, breaking her maiden first out vs. colts and is only a nose shy of being 3-for-3 lifetime.

She makes her first start for Graham Motion with first-Lasix and Ramon and looks like talented prospect for Team Valor, coming from a race that’s produced two next out winners.

Taking Visionaria to win at 5-2 or greater and an exacta box with Crazy Party.

Running Totals: (922) 290-185-130 Total Dollar Return: $2,007.40 [win selections only]

Isn’t She Lovely?

In today's Saratoga feature, the Saratoga Dew Stakes, Spa City Princess (5-2) enjoys a significant performance figure edge on the Equiform scale, has enough pedigree to get the added distance and the 4-year-old handles any footing.

Taking Spa City Princess to win at 2-1 or greater and key boxing her in the multiples with D'Oratory (4-1) and Banker's Buy.

Running Totals: (921) 290-185-130 Total Dollar Return: $2,007.40 [win selections only]
