Nothing Could Be Finah Than to Cash on My Dinah

Today’ Aqueduct feature, the Love Is Eternal at a mile for state-bred fillies three-year-olds and up. Distance and position should determine the outcome here but for My Dinah (5-1) to complete the job, she’ll have to run down the streaking Rightly So (5-2), who’s stretching out another furlong in search of her firth consecutive win.

My Dinah comes into this off a second to the early line favorite showing improved pace, a cyclical top, after earning a performance figure three back that would boss this group. She has conditioning, tactical speed, and outer position next to the speedy favorite which should secure a comfortable stalking trip. The low profile connections should insure value in this spot.

Taking My Dinah to win at 5-1 or greater and an exacta box with Rightly So.

Clement Has Himself to Beat

Today’s Flitalong Stakes, an overnight affair for fillies and mares on the Aqueduct turf at 1-1/16th miles appears to be at the mercy of Christophe Clement, who has two excellent chances to win this event. But you might want price to persuade you on which one since this stable entry is uncoupled. Problem is they both look great for different reasons.

Akilina (3-1) never has taken a backward step on grass in five lifetime starts on the surface, an uncommon occurrence. Her best performance figure came last out at today’s distance, the spacing is good, the improvement incremental and Rajiv Maragh has found his way into the circle four times on this miss.

The one to beat, however, is her mate Denomination (7-2), which, following an even effort in a West Coast Grade 1, had no place to run in her Eastern debut, the one mile Pebbles at Belmont Park, trapped badly anytime she had an opportunity to make a winning run. She drawn outside here, which could be of some benefit, and Ramon Dominguez will be trying to make amends here.

Taking Denomination to win at 5-2 or greater, an exacta box with Akilina, and a key in multiple pools, adding price shot Our Golden Dream to the exotics mix.

Making His Rivals Cry Uncle

There are three stakes for New York-breds on today’s Aqueduct card and we’ll analyze the eighth race, the traditional feature slot, the Thunder Rumble division of the New York Sires Series..

Dr. D.F.C. (2-1) is a deserving favorite. He owns the best performance figures by a fairly significant margin, has conditioning from recent routes and is coming off a new pace top vs. more moderate rivals.

But this looks like the right spot for Uncle T Seven (7-2) to get back to his winning ways. A versatile sort, he can handle both turf and dirt, and seven furlongs seems like it would be his optimal distance on the main track.

Going turf to dirt, he, too, has the needed conditioning and figures to be extremely fit coming off a Turf Decline Line in his latest on the grass.

Uncle T Seven had a sharp blowout in preparation for his second start in a new barn, reunites with Ramon Dominguez, 1-for-1 on the colt, and would appreciate any remaining moisture in the surface. He’s tactical enough to get a jump on the late runners here.

Taking Uncle T Seven to win at 3-1 or greater and an exacta box with Dr. D. F. C.
