Altogether Now: Memories…Memories…

The thing about Winter Memories (8-5) getting beaten in the Lake Placid at the Spa, owing to pilot error, is that you will get a little better price next time out; perhaps still not worth betting but better odds nonetheless. The gray beast will go postward with a new jockey, Javier Castellano, now among America's elite riders with a deft hand on grass. At 2-for-2 over the course and 9 furlongs to work with, she is taken to make amends.

Taking Winter Memories to win, no price restrictions, and an exacta box with Hungry Island (3-1), very impressive winning the aforementioned Saratoga Stakes. Also expect that More Than Real (8-1) will run much better this afternoon.

Running Totals: (932) 292-189-131 Total Dollar Return: $2,017.50 [win selections only]

A Cure for the Summertime Blues

Today's BHelmont Park feature, the Jazzy Stakes, the Summng for three-yerar-old turf runners going a mile on the Widener Course to us is all about the distance, freshness, and who has the look of being pointed specifically to this spot. If that runner isn't Adirondack Summer, I don't know who else it might be.

Freshened during the Spa meet, trainer Christophe Clement has put this guy on the fence in the mornings and he looks ready to roll in this short field. Nicely drawn outside with a history of racing well fresh, his best figure came at today's trip, so why not again here?

Taking Adirondack Summer to win, no price restrictions, and boxing hm in exactas with Top Surprise, going first out for Naipaul Chatterpaul, who reaches out for Castellano in this spot.

Running Totals: (931) 292-188-131 Total Dollar Return: $2,017.50 [win selections only]

Risking Litigation Today

Today’s Pot O Luck Stakes is trappy and a lot depe3nds on how you view favored Rail Trip. We thought he had a chance to upset the G1 Whitney, but he never picked up his feet at any time. However, he’s 5-for-5 in exactas at this trip (3 wins), likes Belmont, and retains Ramon.

However, we’ll opt for Litigation Risk, coming off a New Pace Top pattern from a barn that’s 22% profitable second off the layoff. As the speed of the speed, he has a legitimate chance to upset this group.

Taking Litigation Risk to win at 5-1 or better and an exacta box with the favorite.

Running Totals: (929) 291-188-131 Total Dollar Return: $2,013.90 [win selections only] {Wednesday‘s Results Not Included}
