His Best Towers Over The Group

Another inscrutable feature race in which favorites look the most likely to succeed but neither do they inspire a great deal of confidence.

Towering Moon (4-1) has upside off the recent Dubb/Rudy claim, returning with favorable spacing and suitable dynamics. The presence of Javier from an outside slip out of the chute are two more pluses. If he runs to his best he's shown thus far, that should be good enough. With any improvement, his rivals may be racing from minor honors.

Taking Towering Moon to win at 3-1 or greater, boxing the exacta with logical dropdown Spa City Fever (3-1) and Beyond Empire (7-2) from the live McLaughlin shed; adding price shot Onecat's Chance (12-1) to the super-exotics mix.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1768

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 532-336

Amount Wagered: $3,536 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,638.00

Profit to Date: $102.00

A Reluctant Vote for Shug’s La Madrina

Today's Belmont Park feature, a NW3X going a mile for fillies and mares features a group with spotty form and any number of weak-up possibilities. e have no clue as to which one of the group will jump up and thus we're taking the safe way out with La Madrina (9-5).

This fillies certainly is bred for the added ground and has earned the field's best Energy Ratings under similar one-turn conditions. We will be treading lightly, however.

Taking La Madrina to win at early line odds or greater and key-boxing her with potential price shots Natalie Victoria (8-1), coming back on short rest for Michelle Nevin with a switch to the talented apprentice Eric Cancel, and Hot Stones (6-1), making her third start off the layup for Bruce Levine with Johnny V. on a return call.

Number of Selections since 2007: 1767 [Sunday's turf selection was later rescheduled to main track]

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 532-336

Amount Wagered: $3,534 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,638.00

Profit to Date: $104.00

Not Betting Against the Win…so to speak

Today's Parx Racing feature race is brought to you through special promotional arrangement with 123gaming.com

But we are betting Against the Win (5-2) in today's featured eighth race at Parx Racing.

The gelded 4YO has gotten a late start in his career but he has shown some promise as a visually impressive maiden breaker at Tampa in April. Lightly raced and seemingly well managed by Delacour--batting 25% with his repeaters and he gives the white hot Acosta the call.

Today's ground should be to his liking and should score his third straight turf victory without a defeat in this perfectly suitable spot.

Taking Against the Win to win at 8-5 or greater and a boxed exacta with the sharp Park Avenue Appeal (9-2)

Number of Selections since 2007: 1767

Number of Win and Place Finishes: 532-336

Amount Wagered: $3,534 [to win only]

Total Dollar Return on Investment: $3,638.00

Profit to Date: $104.00
