A Gift Horse?
Today's Belmont Park feature, the Gygistar overnight stakes, has attracted but a field of five but only one of the 3-year-olds, Declan's Moon (8-5), has raced the 7 furlong distance.
When last seen, the colt was coming from far back to win the G3 Bay Shore. This has the look of an event written to suit this winner of three of four starts. He's been working bullets over the Oklahoma training track.
Taking Declan's Moon to win, no price restrictions, and a cold exacta with ship-in Duke Of The City (6-1).

Taking Brown’s Horse
There's a first time for everything: We're making a conditional pick. Trainer Bruce Brown has an uncoupled entry in today's featured 8th race turf sprint, the Around The Cape overnight stakes.
Well, this uncoupled entry is also entered in the Jim McKay Turf Sprint at Pimlico on the Black-Eyed Susan undercard with the same riders; Castellano and Lezcano. We expect Spring to the Sky (5-1) to go well in his 4YO debut for Brown, who has a good record with returnees. Night Officer (6-1) should benefit from his recent placing to Ben's Cat, a Maryland legend as the winner of 10 of 14 turf sprints.
I certainly hope that Brown splits the two up, and we'll take whichever horse he runs here to win, no price restrictions, and boxing that horse in the exacta with the very fast early line favorite that's working well at his Fair Hill base, Michael Trombetta's Next Question (2-1).
