Sunday’s feature in SoFla., the Gulfstream Sprint Stakes, has attracted some fast horses. The favorite, one fast sprinter named Great Attack (2-1) will be a tough out. When last seen he was beaten 2 ½ lengths in the G2 BC Turf Sprint. This is easier, to say the least, and his most recent work was fastest among 138 workers that week in his peer group.

But we’ll try to take him with Little Nick (5-2), making his second start off a layup, winning his return by a relatively comfortable margin but under very confident handling from Paco Lopez, who takes the re-ride here. Packed with speed, kick and a ground saving position, he’s a perfect trip waiting to happen.

Taking Little Nick to win at 2-1 or greater and key boxing him in multiples with Great Attack, the very sharp Marquet Cat (8-1), and the interesting import, Private Jet (4-1).
