Clearly, Burn The Mortgage (8-5) is the right favorite and will be a tough out. Not only is he the fastest horse on performance figures but he’s spotted aggressively to win by prolific connections; Wayne Catalano training this one for the Ramseys. Strong finishing turf specialist Goncalves takes the call.
But it’s Holy Highway (8-1) who is the most interesting. Following the trainer change, he was switched to the grass by Derek Ryan, came back with a competitive figure maiden breaker in turf debut then has come back to work very well subsequently, seventh fastest of 44 in his peer group that week at Tampa. Angel Serpa takes the return call.
Taking Holy Highway to win at 6-1 or greater and key boxing him in multiples with Burn The Mortgage and Sheppard/Homeister ship-in, Seeking Romance (3-1).
Running Totals: (1009) 310-202-145 Total Dollar Return: $2,134.40 [win selections only]

Holy (*%$ JP, I’m gonna have to take a different highway to the winner’s circle, but will be extremely thirsty in the cashier’s line after eating a mouthful of chalk. Will be playing a cold Triple (I date myself with this term from when the 9th at Aqueduct hosted this super exotic proposition), and then adding 2 others for the tail end for the supahh. Is that holy enough fer ya, a poor attempt to play God, most would say?

7-Seeking Romance (4.77)

This horse race outsider has a strong feeling for 5-Strike the Moon in the 3rd at Gulfstream, and more than willing to go against the absentee morning line favorite 3-Final Mesa. Sorry Wesley you gots to show me. 4-1 would be gift from above.
