Of course, it was, and 'Chappy' looks as strong here as Kingdom looked in the 2011 Preakness, given his superior performance figures and more accomplished record. For his part, Colletti must be forgiven his Cash Call fiasco and has worked brilliantly here in Hallendale for his return to turf. At this juncture, it seems Romans believes his colt is better on turf. So do we.
Taking Colletti to win at 7-2 or greater, and an exacta box with the favorite.
Running Totals: (1010) 311-202-145 Total Dollar Return: $2,158.20 [win selections only]

Going with a straight semi-conservative exacta here of 5-2, and keying on top with all 3 in the super sucker bets. 5-Lucky Chappy smells like a winner.
5-Lucky Chappy (3.85)
2-Argentine Tango (5.11)
1-Italo (6.78)
6-Cozzetti (7.87)

How(e) is it that the coupling rules in stakes allow the 4 and 5, with common ownership and trainer, can run as separate betting interests? If Howe Great (nicely named, by the way)turns out to be the rabbit for his stablemate, it is a disservice to bettors.
On another, and exclusively self-serving note, simply want to brag about my filly who won the 2nd at Laurel on Thursday at 14-1!!
