Wayward Sailor (6-1) owns the fastest final figure on this course, at this distance, after adding blinkers for Mike Maker On Dec. 11, but things get a little dicey considering that winning figure was earning v. maiden claimers. But, remember, these youngsters can develop virtually overnight.
Liquidity Trap (5-2) is a worthy favorite given his connections (Chad Brown) and the fact he’s turning back to a winning distance and he ,had trouble in his most recent start. Heiko (5-1) moved up considerably first time on this course, and also returns to his maiden-breaking trip with Johnny V. taking the return call for a second start in blinkers.
But it’s Two Months Rent (8-1) that looms the most interesting. After earning an excellent figure in his New York finale, he showed up at Gulfstream last month and virtually had no chance due to very hungry early fractions. Conditions should improve today.
Further, the trouble he encountered in midstretch didn’t help things, and the winner, Howe Great, came back to win Saturday’s Kitten’s Joy Stakes. Jimmy Toner trainee gets switch to Paco Lopez. Good look trying to get early line odds.
Taking Two Months Rent to win at 4-1 or greater and key-boxing him in multiples with the three rivals named above. Super-exotic players would do well to include very sharp Fear The Heat (4-1)
Running Totals: (1011) 312-202-145 Total Dollar Return: $2,163.80 [win selections only]

Tough job making the morning line I guess, especially if you drink too much the night before. 5-Two Months Rent, 8-1, don’t think so, especially now that you spilled the beans. Are those workouts for real down there with the beautiful people? The one me thinks you could make a case for at a price is 1-Gold Megillah, for those who believe in the good race/bad race theory (I don’t). Could be “Motion in Poetry.” But then, I pinch myself, and come back to reality, and my top figure is staring me in the face, 3-Liquidity Trap, which is what a lot of you overthinkers have fallen into with respect to the premise that there are too many pari-mutuel pools. The Kentucky Derby, the greatest 2 minutes in sport. How somebody could pass up such an opportunity when they had a viable contender is beyond me. Please forgive them Rachel Alexandra and Silverbulletday, they know not what they do. And then there was poor Smarty Jones. Don’t ever send a boy to do a man’s job. A horse is a horse, of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course, unless the horse, Is the famous Mister Tedddddd!
3-Liquidity Trap (5.82)
5-Two Months Rent (6.02)
1-Gold Megillah (6.91)
