Wolfson has entered four, although his announced intention is to withdraw Starship Truffles in favor of the longer Rampart on the Florida Derby undercard. We'll take him at his word.
So, how good is Golden Mystery (5-2) doing? Good enough that her new owners made a U-turn back to Gulfstream after she was supposed to head for the breeding farm. She promptly won the G3 Hurricane Bertie and will stretch out to 7 furlongs today. Wolfson believes seven-eighths is her best distance. Who are we to argue.
Taking Golden Mystery to win at 2-1 or greater and key-boxing her in exacta with stablemates Nakano (10-1) and Spectacular Sky (6-1).
Number of Selections: 1277
Number of Win-Place-Show Finishers: 391-243-196
Amount Wagered: $2,554 [to win only]
Total Dollar Return on Investment: $2,658.00
Profit to Date: $104.00

Golden opportunity to beat 8-Golden Mystery here. Counting on 6-Emma’s Encore to redeem herself and revert back to her form of last summer. Tough choice considering 8-Golden Mystery beat her soundly last 2 meetings. Giving her one more chance. The mystery continues. 3-Aubby K comes back running?
6-Emma’s Encore (4.78)
8-Golden Mystery (6.41)
3-Aubby K (8.74)

I hear you gents, very competitive heat, indeed. Meanwhile, I realize he still has a few hours yet, but Wolfson still has not withdrawn Starship Truffles. We’ll see what happens with that.

So, Wolfson neverdeclared S Truffles, an indication that all was not well with the favorite. Went to the well too many times--just like I did.
Meanwhile, Aubby ran huge and loves GP. Kudos to her connections.
