On figures, the consistently fast Pachattack (9-5) is a layover with anything close to her top effort; further given her freshness, style and strong Fair Hill works, she easily could be controlling speed here.
But this is a legitimate Grade 1 mare that’s just getting started in her 6-year-old season; how important can this race be beyond, well, just getting started? Second in the G1 Spinster and third in the BC Filly & Mare Classic, she goes first time for Graham Motion here.
La Gran Bailadora (5-1) never has failed to improve in her second start off the layoff, has worked purposefully at her CDT base and her lifetime best effort came over this ground last fall, when third in the same Spinster. Reuniting with Corey Lanerie, she appears very well meant.
Taking La Gran Bailadora to win at 4-1 or greater and keying her in exotics with the favorite and horse for course Sea Level Drive (10-1), making her third start off the layup for Rusty Arnold who traditionally does well at this meet.

I thought JP would pick #4 in race 9 at Aqu today, but I’m not allowed to say the name, which would be a salacious comment!

Thanks HH for bringing a smile to my face this morning.
Lost a friend and wonderful human being, former NYRA steward Dick Hamilton, yesterday, and Levon Helm also died too soon. Tough day.

Think they will have a hard time keeping up with the Jones’ in the final furlong today, seems to be a slight cut above these, in my most unprofessional opinion. 2-Kathmanblue is better than those recent tries, and a rude awakening could come at any time. Hope it’s not today. Have a good day!
8-Joyful Victory (3.33)
5-Pachattack (4.23)
2-Kathmanblu (6.75)
