Originaly consider a Preakness probable, trainer Michael Matz called an audible and has entered the colt here. After breaking maiden at Gulfstream Park, Bluegras Cat colt shipped north and finished a valiant third in the G1 Wood Memorial, an excellent finish considering the increase in distance and class. The grandson of Deputy Minister is developing beautifully.
Never taking a backward step of the Equiform scale, he's shown an ability to distribute his energy efficiently from his very first start. His Wood Memorial figure was competitive to the group and the spacing is excellent for his return. Colt had sharp blowout at Fair Hill training center, Joe Bravo takes a return call and should take advantage of a favorable race shape.
Taking Teeth Of The Dog to win at 5-1 or greater, and key boxing him in multiples with sharp working Mark Valeski (5-2), Jerome winner The Lumber Guy (7-2) and Le Barnardin (15-1), who defeat older horses last time out.
Running Totals: (1077) 331-210-161 Total Dollar Return: $2,281.10 [win selections only]

Improvement imminent for 10-Teeth Of The Dog, but will have to show me, and have to believe 5-Mark Valeski is bestski, but will be favored. Winner will come from your first 3, forget the rest, and hope it goes well for you in Never Never Land.
5-Mark Valeski (5.76)
2-The Lumber Guy (7.87)
10-Teeth of the Dog (7.97)

Happy Peter Pan Day! Beautiful day for breakfast at Belmont, weather could not be better here at Elmont, NY
Happy early Mother’s Day too!
Is Rosie Napravnik a mother yet? If not I wish I was a younger stud.
Now for my kiss of death pick,
MARK VALESKI - Ya gotta keep up with the Jones’s, the ex governor and cowboy. Loved this horse ever since Larry opted to scratch out of the Derby for this easier spot. Working like a tremendous machine, sort a like the old Tabasco Cat. Did I mention I love Rosie Napravnik yet. What patience she has, what touch to rate a horse. Rosie won the KY Oaks with these Jones connections. Let’s roll the dice one more time!
Please Rosie baby,
Now I know your mama she don’t like me ‘cause I play in a rock and roll band
And I know your daddy he don’t dig me but he never did understand
Papa lowered the boom, he locked you in your room
I’m comin’ to lend a hand
I’m comin’ to liberate you, confiscate you, I want to be your man
Someday we’ll look back on this and it will all seem funny
But now you’re sad, your mama’s mad
And your papa says he knows that I don’t have any money
Tell him this is last chance to get his daughter in a fine romance
Because a record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance
My tires were slashed and I almost crashed but the Lord had mercy
My machine she’s a dud, I’m stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey
Hold on tight, stay up all night ‘cause Rosie I’m comin’ on strong
By the time we meet the morning light I will hold you in my arms
I know a pretty little place in Southern California down San Diego way
There’s a little cafe where they play guitars all night and day
You can hear them in the back room strummin’
So hold tight baby ‘cause don’t you know daddy’s comin’ ....
