Should the race go on grass as scheduled, Surfrider (3-1) will be a very tough out. In his U.S. debut at Keeneland in the Grade 3 Shakertown, any chance of victory was lost after a slow start from an outside post going 5-1/2 furlongs. Nevertheless, he managed to beat half the 10-horse field.
With that race under his girth, the added distance, promise of some cut in the ground, a sharp work that was third best of 82 in his peer group at Belmont Park, the fact that trainer Eddie Kenneally has been white hot of late and a profitable 26% efficient with horses making their second start in his barn with Ramon Dominguez taking a return call, all of it augurs quite well. The bad news is you won’t get rich as a consequence.
Taking Surfrider to win at 8-5 or greater.
Running Totals: (1082) 333-211-161 Total Dollar Return: $2,290.90 [win selections only]

Although 4-Surfrider has the credentials, and is the probable winner. Can’t ignore 12-Isn’t He Perfect’s recent coming of age, and crowd will ignore in my estimation because of 0 for 3 turf record (which is ridiculous). Soooooo, price will be higher than warranted, and 12-Isn’t He Perfect just might WAVE bye bye to 4-Surfrider in the stretch.
4-Surfrider (6.93)
12-Isn’t He Perfect (9.78)

Afraidit’s all moot, T, off turf, scratched down to field of four. How can they let ALL those horses out?

Yeah, I know. You can marry a man, you can’t swat your kid on the heine (spare the rod and spoil the child), they give out condoms at school like they are candy, and trainer’s and owners are a bunch of girlie men, while the guys like us who keep this game alive suffer the consequences. It’s socialism at its worst. You enter, you should run; there should be no MTO; WHAT THE HELL! If your horse has a physical problem, of course, he should scratch. We are all subject to the elements. If things keep going this way, you will be able to enter with the proviso that the temperature and barometric pressure are within the parameters that you require. I can’t take it much longer John, and my shack’s roof is starting to leak down at the Mohawk, and I think the revenuers have been sniffing around. They will never take me alive (is this considered too much information).

Hate to say it, but the time has come to put a synthetic course on the inner turf courses at Belmont and Saratoga. When it rains like every other day, you’ll be able to keep off the turf races intact.
Keep the faith TTT, I still remember that $200 horse you had in the La. Derby.
the beat will go on…
I’m fixing a hole where the rain gets in
and stops my mind from wandering
where it will go
I’m filling the cracks that ran though the door
and kept my mind from wandering
where it will go
And it really doesn’t matter if I’m wrong
I’m right where I belong
I’m right where I belong
See the people standing there
who disagree and never win
and wonder why they don’t get in my door ...
