For a turf event, there appears to be lots of early speed in here--it never really works out that way, of course--setting things up for a filly with kick.
Of those two, we prefer Watsdachances (4-1) over Kitten's Dumplings (5-2) for several reasons.
Admittedly, Chad Brown's filly hasn't been the same one we saw last year at 2. Today, however, she is fresher, has shown her preference for Spa turf, has an improved work-line and the services of turf ace Castellano and should offer value because of her current disappointing form. That all ends here.
Taking Watsdachances to win at 7-2 or greater and key-boxing her in exactas with 'Kitten' and G3 Florida Oaks winner Tapicat, Mike Smith shipping in to ride the speedy filly for Bill Mott.
