The victim of a premature move in his recent Grade 2 try at Monmouth, he stayed very gamely for the place. The one mile route looks like his best trip and he absolutely loves the Spa, sporting a very worthy (6) 4-1-0 slate over the local ground.
Data Link was the recipient of Get Stormy’s premature run in the Monmouth Cup but the 4-year-old is developing beautifully for Shug McGaughey, whose turf runners are en fuego. Alex Solis has won with five of his last seven rides on the colt.
Wise Dan owns the best performance figures by far—on dirt, which is not to say that his ability to run fast and handle turf—he has in the past—won’t get the job done beneath newly minted Hall of Famer, John Velazquez.
But we'll take the value offered with Get Storny at 3-1 or greater and key boxing him with his two main rivals here. If race is rescheduled to the main track, we're on record with WIse Dan to win, no price restrictions.
Running Totals: (1138) 349-220-171 Total Dollar Return: $2,403.30 [win selections only]
