We’ll key-box her two rivals with more experience; 2-2 Calder shipper Salamera and an undefeated filly that’s Churchill based but has won at two other tracks, Tom Amoss’ well traveled Cayllano.
It’s much the same story in the Saratoga Special with one notable exception. Shanghai Bobby owns the superior figure but it’s Spurious Decision that intrigues us more.
His debut on this race was first rate, his figure puts him within a couple lengths of ‘Bobby’ but it’s the individual that impresses most.
We haven’t seen too many live 2-year-old races this season but this is a big, athletic animal with an imposing presence. He might not beat Bobby today, that’s why we’re taking an exacta box, but he might have the better future. We shall see.
We're going on record with Kauai Katie to win the Adirondack, no rice restrictions, and key-boxing exactas with Salamera and Cayllano. We're taking a Saratoga Special exacta box of 3-6 and a win bet on Spurious Precision at 5-2 or greater.
Running Totals: (1138) 349-220-172 Total Dollar Return: $2,403.30 [win selections only]

Came to Saratoga yesterday, which I have done annually for 36 years, and was very disappointed in many ways. All maiden races and bottom claimers, and the rain didn’t help. Services were unfriendly, and the hall of fame jockey signings were cancelled-why? they were provided cover. Really wanted to chat with Chris McCarron about Deputy Commander’s win in the 1997 Travers.
Left after 5 races. What happened to the good old days, JP?
