The Big Sandy fall meet begins with the Grade 2 Bowling Green turf marathon for older horses. It has drawn a field of six and any of them can win this. These events are usually "rider's races" and today's especially so given the nature of the small field.

The likeliest pacesetter is London Lane (6-1) given that he tried virtually the same tack in the G1 Sword Dancer going a mile and a half and held fairly well late after an enervating run on the pace. He made a strong, wide rally to win a Canadian G2 prior at a shorter trip.

We envision Hyper (5-2), winner of the John's Call and previously second to London Lane, as the most probable winner, even if Boisterous (7-5) has won six times over the Elmont ground. Javier Castellano owns just the right amount of aggressiveness to put the Chad Brown 6-year-old in winning position.

Taking Hyper to win at 2-1 or greater and key boxing him first and second with his rivals above.
