Not the greatest way to enter the "Fall Championship" season at Belmont Park, the Grade 2 Bowling Green on turf, but one that attracted only five runners. The battle, unfortuantely, is between the up and coming favorite, Air Support (8-5) from the McGaughey barn that's winning everything green these days, and Brilliant Speed (2-1), who's winless this year but has been campaigned almost exclusively in Grade 1 company.
The dropper just might do it, but we'll take the horse on the rise, Air Support, to win with no price restrictions, an exacta box with his main rival and the interesting Euro import, Brujo De Olleros (10-1), making its local debut after a strong series of works at his Fair Hill base for Graham Motion and Team Valor.
Running Totals: (1160) 358-224-174 Total Dollar Return: $2,456.40 [win selections only]

Don’t like 4-Bombaguia to do anything here, but I would like him to make a bold move, so I can here Tom Durkin belt out his name: “And here comes Bombaguia.” Bomb-ba-goooh-yaaaa, I presume. Belt it out for me will ya Tom.
Now for the opinion from the Oracle of the Ovals. 2-Brilliant Speed drops and pops, and 1-Air Support plays second fiddle, with 3-Newsdad third. Take the ham sandwich exacta and count your blessings.
And here comes Bomb-ba-goooh-yaaaaa!!!! Great name, if I ever have another male child it will be on his birth certificate.
2-Brilliant Speed (2.12)
1-Air Support (3.59)
3-Newsdad (6.72)
